#Sixty
This is my 60th post, making this by far the blog I've been most commited to out of the three I've had.
I wrote this post out and then I hear "We're testing the breaker, don't be alarmed if the power goes out" shouted up from the Basement of the museum… and BAM there goes my articulate, intelligent, funny post. What are you left with? This sad imitation. A mere shadow of it's predecessor.
Sucks to be you
Birds of Wales gigs this past weekend – both of them good. The Elmocombo gig downtown was extremely good. The soundgirl really knew what she was doing, and it was an absolutely incredible onstage (and offstage, I've been told) mix. It was my last gig and Morgan actually mentioned it onstage and said some really nice thing, which I wasn't expecting. He made a comment, and then our manager made a comment about it not being the end, and that even though my level of commitment has changed that I'm still a part of the operation – another sentiment that I wasn't expecting. For completely selfish reasons I hope that it takes them a while to replace me so I can be a part of recordings and north american shows. I don't mind being flown around the continent to help the guys out.
I saw Cecilia, but not one on one – I think she's frustrated that we haven't had any couple time. Heck, I'm frustrated that we haven't had any couple time. Must. Remedy. Situation.
Today's work day has been GLORIOUS. This morning myself and my three underlings went to Toys R' Us, Canadian Tire, Micheal's and Costco, pricing out camp materials. They were necessary errands, but it didn't feel like work driving around markham. And I mean… TOYS R' US. Our inner children reared their heads. Fissan ended up on a bicycle, Victoria had a stuffed monkey around her neck for most of the time. Good times.
I'll be uploading the song of the day when I get home early this evening. There's going to be a neat component to the Song of the Week feature announced to night, so check it out for that reason too.
